The function of Intumescent paint is to protect the structural steel of a building during exposure to extreme temperature levels. During these times the paint will expand up to 100 times it’s original thickness acting as an insulator and protecting the steel underneath.

SC802 Intumescent Basecoat is a water based, white thin film intumescent coating for the fire protection of internal structural steelwork SC802 provides effective structural fire protection, for steelwork, from 30 minutes up to a 90 minute fire rating.

• Water based intumescent coating suitable for internal use on structural steelwork engineered for 60 minute fire resistance
• Can provide 90 minute fire protection in some applications
• Market leading product with a long history of successful applications
• Compatible with a full range of Nullifire primers and top seals
• Very low VOC
• Tested to BS 476:Parts 21

FIRETEX FX5090 is a water based TCEP free thin film intumescent coating & is designed for application by airless spray to provide fire resistance for periods of up to 120 minutes on structural steel.

• Can provide up to 120 minute fire protection

• Tested and assessed to EN13381-8
